Xiling Yangtze River Bridge with a total length of 1,506m is one of the preliminary works for Three Gorges Hydro-power Project. The main span is 900m; total steel used is 17,900t. With the longest span in China at the time of completion, it was ever honored as “The First Span in China”. It has been awarded Luban Prize for China Construction Project.

The bridge was commenced in 1993 and completed in August 1996.
