It is a double deck bridge with two-way six carriageways on upper deck and four plus pre-reserved two light rail lanes on lower deck within the box. With a total length of 1,720m, the bridge is a PC cable-stayed bridge; the main bridge consists of three spans with an arrangement of 110+180+110m. The project commenced in September 2002, and completed in April 2004.
